Many Feared Dead As Gunmen Raid Lagos Hotel
There are reports that gunmen stormed a hotel in Ajah area of Lagos State on Sunday, killing the owner, and three others.
The police authorities said one of the gunmen was killed in the operation which lasted for about an hour.
However, two people died from a fire outbreak that was caused by intense shooting in the hotel.
It was learnt that several people were injured.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen that there was a fire at the hotel shortly after the shooting.
He said, “The gunmen came for the owner but ended up shooting others in the process.
“The shooting caused fire and two customers, who were in another room, were burnt to death. The fire continued to rage so we had no choice but to call on the fire service.”
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Umar manko, has however vowed that the robbers will be arrested.”
