A Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja, on Wednesday fixed October 23 to deliver its judgment on a couple, Elochukwu and Chiamaka Nnajiofor, charged with the murder of their 14-year-old house-help, Oliver Arakwe.
The date was fixed by Justice Lateefat Okunnu following the adoption of final written addresses by the prosecution and defence.
Adopting the final written address on Wednesday, state prosecutor, Mr. Femi Adamson, said the prosecution had proved its case against the defendants.
He said, “The court should find the defendants guilty as charged.”
Counsel for the defendants, Mr Israel Samuel, in his final written address, however, urged the court to discharge his clients.
Samuel said the prosecution had failed to prove the charge of murder preferred against the defendants.
