Nigeria Pay N192.5bn To 19 Oil Marketers As Verified Claims In 2013



The Federal Ministry of Finance has disclosed that it has so far paid N192.5billion to 19 marketers whose claims have been verified.

According to the Ministry, it had earlier in the year paid a total of N135, 696,269,214.05 to Oil Marketers in respect of verified 2011 and 2012 arrears, therefore bringing the total amount paid to Oil Marketers in 2013 is N192.5billion.


A statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of Finance, Paul Nwabuikwu says revealing the list of payments made is “in line with the continued commitment of the Federal Ministry of Finance to manage fuel subsidy payments in a transparent and efficient manner that protects and enhances the interests of the Nigerian people”.

“Please note that the Federal Ministry of Finance makes payments based on batches of claims as submitted by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA)” the statement read.

The companies include Aiteo Energy Resources Limited, Ascon Oil Company Ltd, A-Z Petroleum Products Limited, Bovas & Company,

Folawiyo Energy Limited, Forte Oil Plc and Gulf Treasures Limited.

Others are Integrated Oil and Gas Limited, Masters Energy Oil and Gas Limited, Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc, Nipco Plc, Northwest Petroleum & Gas Ltd, Rahamaniyya Oil And Gas Limited, Rainoil Limited.

The list also includes Sahara Energy Resources Limited, Shorelink Oil and Gas Services Limited, Swift Oil Ltd, Techno Oil Ltd and Total Nigeria Plc.
