Man Docked For Biting Off Neighbour’s Ear



For allegedly biting off part of his neighbour's ear, a middle aged man, Mr. Ganiu Adeleke has been dragged before an Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court.

Addressing the Court, Police prosecutor, Mrs. Foluke Adedosu said Mr. Adeleke (32) had committed the crime with the intention of 'leaving a mark' on her victim, Mrs. Aminat Otunkoyka.




According to the prosecutor, Adeleke committed the crime in the company of another person who is now at large.

When the charges were read to him, Adeleke pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and assault.

His lawyer, Tope Olayinka, thereafter applied for bail on liberal terms.

Chief Magistrate Adams Adeshina granted the accused bail in the sum of N20, 000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.

The case was then adjourned to June 18 for further hearing.
